True Focus Films starts with a personalized consultation (free of charge) to review videography options, either at the comfort of your home or our studio. With over 15 years of service bring, we bring experience and dedication to your event, and we'll make sure all elements of the video are pre-planned. Our team will capture your wedding using a "movie-style" approach to videography, using slow pans and fluid-head tripods. Shaky shots are distracting, and we want you to be the center of attention. If you don't want to use extra lighting, no problem, our professional cameras are capable of capturing images as dimly lit as candlelight. Of course, if you want us to professionally light your event, we have the equipment and experience to make it look just right. Our team will accommodate to your requests and make sure your event is recorded just as you like it.

TWO-CAMERAS MAKE A DIFFERENCE

We specialize in two-camera coverage of events. While some videographers feel that one camera is sufficient, we find that most couples prefer having the variety of shots produced by having two cameras. Just imagine a Hollywood movie shot in one continuous scene. Not very interesting, right? Almost all movies are shot with multiple cameras and from different vantage points, keeping the action interesting and dynamic. That's exactly our goal. We know your wedding is a major event, so why not capture it like the Hollywood professionals? You could have one camera directed at the bride walking down the aisle while another camera captures a family member wiping away a tear or the groom's amazement seeing his bride for the first time. Or how about a close-up of the bride's face as another camera captures the grooms reciting his wedding vows. This can only be achieved by using multiple cameras set from different vantage points. We use professional-grade Panasonic three-chip high-definition (HD) cameras to record your event. Our HD cameras are designed for event videography and are capable of capturing events with minimal lighting. All events are recorded in HD, even if you choose to have your video delivered on standard definition DVDs (the kind that most people have at home). Recording in HD allows us to capture the footage in the best quality possible so that your event is sharp and clear. Many clients are amazed at the quality of even our standard-definition DVDs, saying that it "looks" like HD. Start with great footage, you end up with amazing films. That's our approach.

Theatrical Performances

WE'VE GOT YOUR EVENT COVERED

Whether you need videography coverage for a staged musical performance or a complex dance number, True Focus Films will make sure to capture your event professionally. We work with large corporate firms and smaller private groups, and everything in between. We start with a personalized consultation (free of charge) to review your videography options and needs, and then we determine how we can best shoot your event. Most clients request two cameras for their event, allowing the footage to be captured from two different vantage points. This allows one camera to capture wide-angle shots of the entire stage, while one camera captures close-ups of individual performers/speakers.

DIGITAL AUDIO RECORDING

Professional quality audio can make or break a theatrical production. We've worked with theaters and performance venues of all sizes, and have the knowledge to mic your production effectively. When available, we will tap into your professional audio board to obtain an audio feed from the "house", but we will also setup our own perimeter mics just in case there is a problem during recording. Our custom-built audio mixer allows to mix all mic sources (wired, wireless, house, line-level, mic-level) and maintain a smooth audio level throughout the performance. In post-production, we can "sweeten" the recorded audio to further enhance the quality.

COMMUNICATION IS KEY

We bring our own wireless intercoms, allowing each camera operator to communicate with each other and make sure the performance is captured without interruption. We can also provide you (or whomever you designate) a 2-way radio to keep us up to speed throughout the event. Having direct communication between camera operators means that each camera is capturing a distinctly composed scene and allows for greater creativity in post-production editing.
